A Work in Progress
Garage Gunsmithing is a work in progress. We, the Site Admin and 13 Founding Members, started the 'Alpha Phase' of development several months ago after several discussions around the subject of enjoying the many gunsmithing forums available on the Internet, but just not being satisfied that any single site contained the features needed to make it a core source of information. Goals were set based on input from the founders and development began. The framework of the site was created and then several extensions, such as the forum and web links areas, were added.

Once enough of the site was completed to allow for publication, the 'Beta Phase' began. This is where we are now. During this phase we perform testing of both the form and function of the site. We seek feedback from the 'Beta Users' (that's you) as well as from each other. The information that is gathered is used to stabilize the site code, meaning fix bugs and flaws.
After the site is stabalized it is released. This means that notes reguarding the bugs and flaws, which have been resolved, are put away and the issues marked as closed.
This cycle begins again as new ideas are generated and new extensions are approved for development. It is quite possible for several extensions to be in development at the same time, and to be at different stages of the development cycle.
While the site as you see it is in the 'Beta Phase', we also have a photo and multimedia gallery/repository as well as a classified ads section and other ideas that are at different stages of the 'Alpha Phase'.
All that having been said; we at Garage Gunsmithing would like you to remember two things while visiting this site:
-
We want, and pay close attention to, your feedback. So please feel free to post comments in the 'Site Support' section of the forum, or send a PM to one of the Moderators.

The site is not yet complete, nor classified as stable. We are confident that you will find bugs and flaws. Please understand that we are working to improve it every day and that releasing the site is our goal so we can move on to implementing more features. If you find a flaw, please don't get frustrated. Just report it and allow us time to add it to the 'to do' list.
We are so very glad you have decided to join our community. Many more great things are to come. Please join us in making this the best gunsmithing site on the Internet.
